"You should list them on Etsy, just to see if they get any views" - that was my husbands suggestion as he joked about how much painting I was doing.

We had moved into our first real 'home' and suddenly had a lot more wall space to fill, so when I couldn't find what I was looking for elsewhere - I started painting. I painted in tiny pockets of time while my kids napped, so the first couple of paintings took months to complete (any naptime overlap between a newborn and a two year old is a MIRACLE you guys)... These were pieces I had created for our own home, not to sell. But I figured he had a point - if someone liked them enough to purchase one, I could always send it off to a new home and paint a replacement.

I'm not gonna lie, when the first couple of paintings sold I had mixed feelings - "Woo somebody likes this stuff!!" but "wait, we're back to blank walls and I have to paint that all over again?!" A few more have sold since then and this shop has grown to include digital prints, holiday decorations and islamic stationary. I love seeing photos of my designs in their new homes and hope they can spark a conversation about our beautiful culture/language/religion.
